CD of chamber music performed by The London Handel Players. Handel's wonderful Seven Op. 5 Trio Sonatas - three of these with the incomparable flautist Rachel Brown - are superbly played here and are prime examples of the composer's inexhaustible invention. Formed in 1999, with their first performance at Handel's parish church, St. George's Hanover Square, as part of the London Handel Festival 2000, the London Handel Players have given concerts countrywide, and enjoyed a highly successful North American début in 2002.
