Originally transcribed for Bass-Fest '98 by David Heyes, this has been a firm BIBF favourite each year. Two quartets work together to create one of the most joyful and triumphant choruses of the 18th-century, and will make a great end to any massed bass concert. It utilises the entire range of the double bass, with enough rhythmic invention to keep everyone happy, and has been performed throughout Europe and America. Not one for the purists!
