Duration 35 minutes, post tonal in character. First performed in 1997, the Octet is scored for the same forces as the Schubert Octet. The first movement is of tranquil character, the second movement a scherzo, the long final movement combines a slow first section with a fast concluding allegro. Parts on hire from the publisher.
