Six Small Preludes

Composed in 1975, each short prelude has its own distinctive character and succinct message to convey, within a modern idiom. The clarity of line and expressiveness is typical of much music by the Danish composer, Lars Hegaard (b.1950) who has written a number of chamber works which include double bass. These short preludes rely as much on the player's imagination and musicality as on technique.
