Dance from The Bartered Bride

This an arrangement of the famous 'Furiant' from Smetana's opera. Smetana was a keen dancer himself: his earliest piano pieces were polkas and other duets written for his dancing partner, Katerina, who later became his first wife...this vivid arrangement reflects his love of the dance and of the folklore of his native country.
