Fiesta Mexicana

The rhythms of Mexican music are exciting to listen to and fun to play. In these arrangements the melody is shared between the parts, so there is something interesting for everyone to play.

Las Gaviotas (The Seagulls) a song from Northern Mexico in which the lover is lured by the seagulls to leave the girl he loves and go to sea.    La Golondrina (The Swallow) a song of farewell and a favourite of expatriate Mexicans dreaming of their homeland far away.  La Cucaracha (The Cockroach) a lively song that was sung by the soldiers in the army of Pancho Villa, the Mexican hero of the Revolution.
