'Girl on a Bicycle' and 'Without You' are two new concert-pop arabesques drawn from Cadenzas Book 1 (2001/3).
The cadenzas are extracted, topped and tailed to make stand-alone concert pieces from the Piano Concertos 1,2 and 3.
Their light classical style is quite jazzy. Level: Grade VIII.
Very enjoyable to listen to- Paul Kildea- Musical Director, Wigmore Hall, writing about the Piano Concerto scores, on which the Cadenzas, Book 1 are based.
Recording: The forthcoming CD Metamorphosis by Margaret Lion (AME 313) including Cadenzas Book 1 will be released in July 2004.
