Listen to a sample from Sonatina for French Horn and Piano
This highly attractive three movement work is a must for all French Horn players. The first movement begins with a strong opening theme which is then interspersed with more lyrical sections. The hauntingly beautiful slow movement is followed by an exciting last movement in rondo form.
The work was written for Anthony Catterick who plays in the London Mozart Players.
It has recently been recorded by Stephen Stirling (French Horn) and Gordon Back (Piano) on a CD now available from this website.
