Three Pieces for 4 Clarinets

Three original pieces by Craig Rickards for 4 Bb clarinets.  1.Legend: a slow and expressive piece with a baroque/romantic influence. The theme is shared between the parts, so each player needs to be aware of when to project the sound and when to hold back. 2.Serendipity:as with Legend the tender theme is passed around. The opening four bars are slightly tricky and need to be played lightly, with careful and accurate timing. 3.Little Spanish Town:to be effective, this piece needs to be played fairly quickly and therefore requires a competent player on part 1, which takes the lion's share of the tune, though there is plenty for each player to do.
