Luís Tinoco was born in Lisbon in 1969. He studied music in Lisbon and then went on to complete a Masters degree in composition with Paul Patterson at the Royal Aacdemy of Music in London. His music is published by the University of York Music Press in England.

These six significant works were composed between 2000 and 2004 and are performed by Lontano under their conductor Odaline de la Martinez.

Soprano, Eileen Hulse is the soloist in Trois Poèmes de l'Orient.
