This music was commissioned by the Kfar Saba Recorder Ensembe in Israel. There is a marked contrast between the two pieces but both set rhythmic challenges. The second also needs work on ensemble in order to tackle the rapid interplay between parts. Tchaikovsky makes a cameo appearance towards the end.
