A short single-movement piece for SATB recorder quartet or ensemble. Written for massed playing at the 2014 Challinger Festival in Yokohama, Japan. Not especially hard, though needs some work on ensemble.
A single-movement piece lasting about three and three quarter minutes. Needs E flat, 4 B flats, alto, bass and contrabass (or contra-alto) clarinets. The music ebbs and flows calmly making only modest technical demands.
Two linked pieces for large clarinet choir. Needs E flat, at least six B flats, alto, bass and contrabass (with an alternative part for contra-alto). The opening, with the feel of a cortège, leads to a rather wild dance. Difficult.
Originally for organ, these variations were composed towards the end of Bach's life. This recorder version makes use of contrasting registers and adds a few notes, though remains largely faithful to the original.
These two pieces - Waltzer and Hurdles - were originally re-worked from the recorder originals for a flute workshop event. They have now been revised again for piccolo, 6 concert flutes, alto and bass flute.
Two pieces, entitled "March Past" and "Fiesta", for a large Flute Choir - Piccolo, 6 Concert Flutes, Alto and Bass Flutes. Total length about five minutes. Some parts are quite difficult; others more straightforward.
