These pieces use flutter-tonguing, microtones, glissandi and multiphonics - common in some recorder music but unfamiliar still to many. The idea is to familiarise players with these techniques and at the same time set them a few musical challenges. Hopefully more experienced groups wil find something worth working on here too.
