"Absolutely beautiful" - Susan Treacy, U.S. music critic
"…a lovely conception" - Peter Kwasniewski - U.S. composer and writer
This immortal melody from Bach's Third Orchestral Suite has been arranged and transcribed countless times, but here is an impressive new realisation of it as a setting of the Ave Maria for high voice and organ (or piano). The text is in Latin, of course, and the key is B flat major; the very successful result of this musical marriage requires an accomplished singer, but the fusion of the music and text is itself admirably accomplished here, and the result is a version that both deserves and should enjoy wide appeal.
