"Awakenings" is a 10 minute piano solo. Written in the minimalist style, interwoven with rich and transcendent melody evoking landscape and journey. If you like Einaudi but want something more classical, then this is for you!
It is dedicated to Swiss pianist, Patricia Siffert who premiered it on May Day morning, 1994 at the Holywell Music Room, Oxford. It has since received various concert performances in London, around the UK and in Switzerland and was broadcast on BBC radio.
