Rainy Day is a short trio for two violins and piano that was inspired by a washi (Japanese paper) doll given to the composer. It evokes the emotions of a child who cannot play outside because it is raining .... until sunshine breaks through the clouds.
This accessible piano quintet in a romantic style lasts approximately 32 minutes and can be played by players of grade 8 standard across all parts. Reflections depicts the journey of a river from its source in the hills to the ocean.
