These pieces were written for various Edinburgh festival shows and concerts and are infused with more than a hint of the piano bar in Montmartre.
"Gymnopedie no. four" is an unashamed homage to the iconic Parisien composer, whilst "Tango Fragile" is a contemporary take on the highly stylised - and apparently dangerous - apache dance popular during his life-time. "Le jazz Americain" is a swing-style rondo full of rhythmic twists and turns.
These pieces have been enjoyed by numerous musicians and casual listeners in cafes and bars in Scotland. Try them at your next hotel lounge gig or as encores for your next recital.
