The 2022 edition of these songs, Heart of Scotland and A New Twasome, (originally written in 1998 and 1999) is dedicated to my dear late wife Patricia who died on Hogmanay 2020 in the middle of Lockdown and sadly a memorial concert could not be arranged. This new edition (16 pages) is dedicated to her memory.
The second piece, A New Twasome, is in three movements, the first Blue Dawn, the second Flame of Destiny, the third A New Twasome, where the two unison songs combine to form the two-part twasome. When the songs are performed together both accompaniments should be used, either each with piano or perhaps one using a harp or a different keyboard. The piece works well with choir, dividing for the twasome - perhaps too with scope for audience participation.
