This is the second of two duos for a flute (piccolo also required) or recorders (descant and treble required) and guitar. The four pieces will also stand alone as small performance pieces in their own right, so players can focus on which one(s) they resonate most with - but not forgetting they do also make a sequenced larger piece. As the title suggests, dance (or danceable) rhythms stand out: Terpsichore was the muse! Suite No.1 somewhat contrasts with No.2. This one has a somewhat demanding, but highly exciting, first movement, titled The Chase, utilising echoes of Flamenco writing for the guitar. Duration c.8'.
