Playable by quartet, quintet or larger forces, this klezmer-inspired work is aimed at the intermediate ensemble and offers an evocative and player-friendly work which has been very popular at workshops. It was composed in 1999 for the ISB Young Bassists Project and is dedicated to David Walter. There are some cantor-like solos for bass 1, with atmospheric accompaniments and stays primarily in bass clef throughout. Great fun to play!
