It is a reworking of 'Even Now', a song originally written for Mary Wiegold and The Composers Ensemble, scored for soprano, 2 clarinets, viola, cello and double bass. It is a setting of a poem by Ernest Dowson, 'Even Now', the first line of which is, 'Even now, the fragrance of your hair..............'
