In common with most of my uncommissioned pieces for solo instruments written for friends and colleagues (Piers de Résistance for Piers Adams, Jill's Jig for Jill Kemp, Paul's Paragram for Paul Jackson, Mikes' Mazurka for Mike Hatchard and Gavin's Gavotte for Gavin Henderson) it has a punning often alliterative title using the name of the dedicatee.
