Written in 2016, Kaddish Yatom is a Concert setting of the Judaic Mourner's Kaddish.
Kaddish is a prayer of praises to God in the Jewish liturgy. The central theme is the magnification and sanctification of God's name. The Mourner's Kaddish is said as part of the mourning rituals in all prayer services, as well as at funerals and memorials.
The opening words are inspired by Ezekiel chapter 38 Verse 23, a vision of God becoming great in the eyes of all nations.
“Your comments about Kapustin are entirely accurate! I'm certain to be ordering much of it in the near future.” Ben, Lincoln, USA
