A concert piece for solo flute, lasting 7 minutes. The composer writes - Meister Eckhart's Flute is a joyful, agile and flowing piece. The figuration is inspired by lines from the mediaeval mystic Meister Eckhart, depicting the luxuriant unfolding of leaves in the spring, as a symbol of creation. The piece is of concert standard, and does not divide into sections, but plays straight through.
Meister Eckhart's Flute has enjoyed several performances including some in London festival venues, and has been very well received.
