Passe-Pied & Burlesque

Two pieces for beginner double bass trio by Tony Osborne, who is well-known as a double bass player and composer and has written many works for double bass. He is Britain's most successful and prolific composer writing for the double bass today, and his music is played worldwide.

Passe-Pied and Burlesque were composed in 1981 for Tony Osborne's pupils and are in a very accessible and melodic style. Each offers simple and effective challenges for younger players, using a limited number of notes and positions and these are ideal as concert repertoire or for ensemble work.
