This 16thC prolific Spanish composer and poet has left a large body of instrumental music and songs. Those here, together with related publications in this catalogue, are arranged from his vihuela pieces, a precursor of the guitar. The pavans exhibit differing characters, though all in two time except No.6, and benefit from differing tempi.
