A solo piece for descant and sopranini recorders..
The piece was written for Piers Adams in response to his superb playing of the Recorder Concerto. It is a tour de force with a very clear structure, basically quavers turing into semiquavers; the reverse arpeggios with increasing numbers of 'wrong notes' ;the reverse; ending with a dialogue betwenn descant and sopranino recorders.
In common with most of my uncommissioned pieces for solo instruments written for friends and colleagues (Hey Presto for Nick Heyes, Jill's Jig for Jill Kemp, Paul's Paragram for Paul Jackson, Mikes' Mazurka for Mike Hatchard and Gavin's Gavotte for Gavin Henderson) it has a punning often alliterative title using the name of the dedicatee.
Approx. 6 minutes.
