The traditional Welsh lullaby Suo Gan is given here, arranged and slightly expanded. as a piece for cello and piano. Two statements of the well-known melody are separated by a short middle section (new key) which develops the opening motif of the lullaby.
The setting, which seeks to convey the tenderness and calm of the song, was made for a memorial service.
