This was written as a tribute to the great Romanian virtuoso, Ovidiu Badila, who died in March 2001 at the age of 38. It is a heartrending and passionate lament and one of Tony Osborne's finest works for double bass ensemble.

The music is powerful and dramatic, utilising the lyrical potential of the doublebass, and was premiered at BassFest 2001.
