Geoffry Self (1930-2008) was Music Advisor for Somerset until 1964, when he moved to Cornwall to be Head of Music at Camborne Technical College. He conducted the Cornwall Symphony Orchestra, and was awarded the Gorsedd Shield for services to music in Cornwall in 1981.
He has written 6 books, including: the Music of E.J.Moeran, and composed for piano, organ, & orchestra, as well as choral & chamber music & songs, some of which is published by Novello, & Animus.
